Everything You Need

Each pack includes all the balls you need for your playground! From tetherballs to footballs and utility balls, this pack will keep you covered for the whole year. All of the balls included in the pack are UltraPlay balls, which are the most durable rubber balls on the market. They combine a premium, durable construction with a soft, user-friendly feel, promoting years of true play and constant engagement from all students. Four VersaBag mesh bags are also included to help you store it all.

Multiple Sizes and Colors

The primary difference between the two packs is the size of balls included. Lower-elementary packs contain smaller balls versus the upper-elementary. Otherwise, they feature the same number of each type of ball. All of the balls come in Rainbow sets, allowing them to be used for color relays or to split students up into different games and activities.

UltraPlay Playground Ball Packs are available in 2 grade-level packs. Each pack includes soccer balls, tetherballs, basketballs, volleyballs, utility balls, footballs, and 4 VersaBag Mesh Storage Bags (52 pieces total).

15 Unique Physical Education Activities Using UltraPlay Playground Ball Packs

The UltraPlay Playground Ball Packs offer lightweight, soft-textured balls that are ideal for introducing young students to a wide variety of movement and ball-handling skills. What sets these balls apart is their slightly tacky surface for improved grip and their ultra-lightweight construction, which reduces intimidation and supports safety during high-energy play. These balls are ideal for teaching core fundamental movement skills (FMS) such as rolling, bouncing, catching, and striking. Below are 15 fun, creative activities designed to engage students of all ages while developing key FMS using UltraPlay Playground Balls.

1. Roll & Reach Relay: Students roll UltraPlay balls to teammates standing across the gym. Teammates must stretch to catch the ball without moving their feet. Develops rolling, stretching, and teamwork.

2. Bounce & Freeze: Students bounce their playground ball in place until you yell "freeze!" They must freeze with one foot off the ground. Teaches bouncing and static balance.

3. Circle Catch Chaos: In groups of 5, students toss playground balls across the circle to random partners. Reinforces catching, reaction time, and coordination.

4. Bounce to the Beat: Play music and have students bounce their balls to the rhythm. Switch rhythms or beats to challenge timing. Improves rhythmic coordination and timing.

5. Wall Ball Bounce Back: Students throw playground balls against the wall and try to catch the rebound. Focuses on striking and catching.

6. Color Coded Commands: Assign a color to each student group. When their color is called, they must bounce, roll, or toss to a target. Teaches color recognition and reactive movement.

7. Ball Balance Walk: Students balance the ball on different body parts (e.g., head, back) while walking across the gym. Develops core stability and body awareness.

8. Four-Corner Frenzy: Place colored spots in the gym corners. Students dribble or roll their ball to a new corner when music plays. Reinforces spatial awareness and locomotor movement.

9. Partner Pass Parade: In pairs, students pass the ball back and forth while walking side by side. Teaches passing, catching, and cooperative movement.

10. Playground Ball Bowling: Use the balls for classic bowling games with a soft target. Enhances rolling and target accuracy.

11. Bounce Tag: "It" players must bounce the ball at someone to tag them (below the knee). Tagged players perform an exercise before rejoining. Builds bouncing, dodging, and targeting.

12. Crab Crawl Carry: In crab-walk position, students carry a ball on their stomach to the opposite side of the gym. Reinforces body control and core strength.

13. Air Ball Challenge: Students try to keep their ball in the air using only taps from their hands or knees. Enhances striking and anticipation.

14. Rolling Target Treasure Hunt: Set up cones with numbered values. Students roll balls to knock over specific numbers and earn points. Builds strategy and control.

15. Wall Sit Toss: Students perform a wall sit and toss/catch the ball with a partner. Builds leg strength, endurance, and catching.
