15 Skill-Building PE Activities Using UltraPlay Kickballs

UltraPlay Kickballs are specifically designed for the classic playground game of kickball, but their sturdy construction, excellent grip, and soft feel make them perfect for a wide variety of physical education activities. These balls offer a consistent bounce, high durability, and are easy to control with feet or hands, making them an ideal tool for developing both locomotor and manipulative movement skills. The following 15 activity ideas use UltraPlay Kickballs in creative ways to help students of all ages build essential movement abilities through fun, engaging challenges and games.

1. Kick It Quick Relay: In teams, students kick the UltraPlay Kickball down to a cone and back. Focuses on kicking, running, and directional control.

2. Wall Ball Boot: Students kick the ball at a wall and try to catch the rebound. Encourages kicking and reaction timing.

3. Ultra Kick Keep-Away: Students play keep-away by passing and kicking the ball around a circle while two or more players in the middle tries to intercept. Promotes kicking, passing, and spatial awareness.

4. Around the World Kicks: Students take turns kicking from different stations around the gym, each with varying distances and angles. Focuses on adaptability and control.

5. Fast Feet Kick Tag: One student dribbles the ball with their feet while others chase. If tagged, they switch roles. Builds dribbling and dodging.

6. Partner Punt & Retrieve: Students take turns punting the ball and chasing after it. Enhances kicking for distance and running.

7. Kickball Bowling Bash: Use cones or pins and have students try to bowl them down using their feet. Teaches aim and power control.

8. Ultra Zigzag Kick: Students dribble the ball with their feet around cones in a zigzag pattern. Strengthens agility and ball control.

9. Leap & Launch: Students leap forward and immediately kick a rolling ball. Combines leaping and timing.

14. Crossfire Kickball: Divide class into two teams. Players try to kick the ball across a center line past defenders. Works on team strategy and kicking strength.

15. Directional Dribble Duel: Students face off and mirror each other's foot-dribbling moves. Builds coordination and observational skills.
