UltraPin Bowling Sets

Get in the fast lane to realistic, gym-friendly bowling!
You must choose an option from above before adding to your cart.

Built to last game after game, these durable 15”H plastic bowling pins are the perfect addition to introductory bowling units.

High-Quality Construction

Choose from weighted or nonweighted 15"H polyethylene pins, depending on your needs. Weighted 9.3 oz pins feature additional plastic in the interior of the pin, rather than sand, so there’s no mess if the pin breaks open. The additional weight makes the pins react more realistically when hit. Nonweighted 7.3 oz pins are great for younger students because they are less stable.

Easy to Set Up

This lightweight set includes a pin setup template, making it easy to properly space pins on any flat surface. This gives schools and organizations the flexibility to set up multiple lanes anywhere without having to leave your school to go to a bowling alley. Each set of pins also includes a score pad to teach students how to manually track their scores.

Basic Sets include 10 pins, pin template, and score pad. Deluxe Sets include everything in the Basic Sets plus a bowling ball.

15 Creative Activity Ideas Using UltraPin Bowling Sets

The UltraPin Bowling Set from Gopher Sport offers an upgraded twist on traditional bowling with its rubberized pins that are quieter, more durable, and safer for indoor or outdoor use. These pins resist cracking and denting, making them ideal for energetic PE classes at any grade level. Students will engage in a wide variety of fundamental movement skills like rolling, striking, balancing, dodging, and coordination through imaginative and developmentally appropriate games. These 15 unique activities are designed for small or large groups and tap into the versatility of the UltraPin Bowling Set to promote physical literacy across all age levels.

1. Pin-Palooza Precision: Students roll the UltraPin bowling ball to knock over pins placed at various distances and angles, promoting accuracy in the rolling skill and dynamic balance.

2. Bowling Balance Blitz: Set up a balance beam or taped line. Students must walk across and roll the ball while maintaining balance to hit pins at the end.

3. Hop and Roll Showdown: Students hop through poly spot stations, stop, then roll the ball toward a target of UltraPin pins. This integrates locomotor skills with manipulative movement.

4. Strike-n-Spin: Before rolling, students perform a full-body twist or turn, adding a fun challenge that promotes non-locomotor movement.

5. Leap, Land, and Launch: Students leap over cones, land safely, and then roll the ball, focusing on body control and safe landing.

6. UltraPin Slide ‘n Strike: Students must slide laterally to a new lane before taking their shot, enhancing dynamic balance and lateral movement.

7. Swing Before You Sling: Students swing their arms 3 times in rhythm before releasing the bowling ball to reinforce timing and manipulative control.

8. Backward Bowling Bonanza: Students roll the ball backwards between their legs to target pins. Emphasizes coordination and body awareness.

9. Rapid Fire Pin Smash: Each team has 3 balls and must knock down all 10 pins in as few throws as possible, encouraging speed, coordination, and rolling.

10. Direction Detective Bowling: Pins are set at various compass points. Students receive a direction (e.g., northeast) and must run to that lane and bowl, reinforcing spatial awareness and agility.

11. Stealthy Strike Sneak: Students sneak like ninjas to the pin line, stop without a sound, and roll—great for practicing body control and stillness.

12. Musical Pins: Music plays while students move around the gym. When it stops, they must roll at the nearest pin station. Adds excitement and timing/coordination.

13. Bowling Yoga Balance: Before rolling, students perform a yoga pose or balalnce on one foot. Working on core stability and balance.

14. Strike Sprint Circuit: Set up a relay race. Bowl, then sprint to retrieve the ball and reset pins for the next team member. Team to bowl strikes first wins. Combines running with teamwork and quick thinking.

15. Zig-Zag Zap: Students zigzag through cones stop at lane, and roll, working on agility and controlled stops.
