15 Fundamental Movement Skill Activities Using the Titan Hybrid Cart

The Titan Hybrid Cart is a large-capacity, ultra-durable, all-in-one equipment cart with oversized, smooth-rolling wheels designed for both indoor and outdoor use. Its standout feature is its hybrid functionality—it combines the best elements of both vertical and horizontal storage, making it easy to organize, access, and transport a variety of sports equipment. With removable dividers, a side-loading ball cage, and exceptional maneuverability, this cart is ideal for fast-paced physical education settings that require frequent gear changes. The following 15 activity ideas take full advantage of the Titan Hybrid Cart’s versatility to teach essential fundamental movement skills to students across all grade levels.

1. Hybrid Hustle Haul: Students run to the cart, grab a specific piece of equipment, and return to complete a skill challenge (e.g., toss, dribble, etc.). Great for running, decision-making, and speed.

2. Push Power Parade: In pairs, students push the empty cart across a set course. Focuses on pushing, teamwork, and lower body strength.

3. Skip & Stack: Students skip to the cart, grab a ball from the top or side compartment, and skip back. Develops skipping and manipulative coordination.

4. Ball Sort Sprint: Load the cart with various types of balls. Students sprint to sort them by type or size into labeled bins. Works on running, sorting, and organization skills.

5. Gallop & Grab Race: Students gallop to the cart, grab an object, and gallop back to pass it off. Reinforces galloping and transition skills.

6. Color Code Relay: Load the cart with color-coded items. Students retrieve objects that match their team’s color and race back. Enhances visual recognition and locomotor speed.

7. Leap to Load: Students perform a standing leap from behind a marker, landing near the cart and placing a ball inside. Teaches leaping, power generation, and balance.

8. Catch & Cart Relay: One student throws a ball; the other catches and quickly places it into the cart. Reinforces catching, reaction, and spatial awareness.

9. Hop & Drop: Students hop to the cart on one foot, drop a beanbag into the basket, and hop back. Builds hopping, balance, and precision.

10. Twist-n-Toss Target: Students twist their torso and toss beanbags into the open side compartment of the cart. Builds twisting, throwing, and core coordination.

11. Dodge the Hybrid Zone: Use the cart as a central “no-entry” zone while students try to dodge foam balls around it. Teaches dodging, spatial awareness, and reaction time.

12. Catch-on-the-Cart: Set up the cart at a distance and have students toss items toward it and try to land them inside. Focuses on catching placement and throwing accuracy.

13. Balance & Ball Drop: Students balance on one foot near the cart while reaching to drop a ball into a designated section. Works on static balance and control.

14. Bounce It Home: Using fleece balls or beanbags, students bounce balls into the cart compartments. Encourages bouncing and hand-eye coordination.

15. Hybrid Hot Potato: In a circle around the cart, students pass a ball quickly to music. When the music stops, the student with the ball must place it in the cart. Builds agility, timing, and decision-making.
