Unlike wood mulch, it won’t compact, fade, rot, or wash away, providing lasting impact absorption to protect students during play. With one of the highest shock absorption ratings, it cushions falls better than gravel, sand, or wood chips. Plus, it resists mold and fungi, making it a safer choice for all students. Available in bags (40 lb each, 25-bag minimum) or bulk (2,000 lb shipments). For best results, install at a 6” depth per ASTM safety guidelines.

How much mulch do I need? Fall Height/Depth of Mulch.

  • Up to 6' Fall Height, 4" Depth required - 6 sq ft (per single bag) or 300 sq ft (per bulk 2,000 lb box)
  • Up to 10' Fall Height, 6" Depth required - 4 sq ft (per single bag) or 200 sq ft (per bulk 2,000 lb box)
  • Depth of mulch is ASTM recommended

Freight and unloading charges apply on 2,000 lb box orders. A freight quote is required when ordering.
