Superior Quality and Durability
Three levels of quality make it possible to provide your students with the right style of ball for their specific age, skill level, or comfort based on the sport.
- Performer balls feature a long-lasting rubber texture for enhanced control. Soft rubber is non-intimidating for students to play with confidence.
- Performer Plus balls are made of a denser but soft rubber construction for added durability and lasting use.
- UltraPlay rubber balls are our most durable and softest rubber balls for superior, lasting performance.
Bright Rainbow colors are easy to track across the playing area and are perfect for color-coded drills and activities. Assign special point values to certain colors during large group games, or pair students up for partner activities — the possibilities are endless!

15 Skill-Based PE Activities Using Rainbow Sport Ball Packs
The Rainbow Sport Ball Packs are colorful, all-in-one sets that include balls for multiple sports like soccer, basketball, volleyball, and playground games—each in a bright rainbow color scheme to help with organization, team division, and visual tracking. What sets this pack apart is its color-coding and multi-sport versatility, allowing teachers to assign colors by group, station, or activity. These lightweight, durable balls are ideal for teaching a wide range of fundamental movement skills (FMS) in fun and inclusive ways. The following 15 activity ideas make full use of the Rainbow Sport Ball Packs to build confidence, coordination, and movement proficiency in students of all ages.
1. Rainbow Relay Rollers: Assign each team a color. Students roll their color’s playground ball through a cone maze and tag the next teammate. Teaches rolling, direction control, and teamwork.
2. Color Catch Chaos: Toss colored volleyballs into the air and call out a color. Students race to catch the correct one. Builds reaction time, tracking, and catching.
3. Dribble & Dash Decathlon: Using the Rainbow basketballs, students dribble between cones and shoot into assigned goals. Reinforces dribbling, agility, and throwing accuracy.
4. Volleyball Volley Train: Students form lines and volley the ball backward overhead to the next in line. Emphasizes striking, communication, and sequencing.
5. Rainbow Soccer Scramble: Students must locate and dribble their assigned colored soccer ball to a matching cone. Focuses on kicking control and spatial awareness.
6. Hoop Shoot Shuffle: Place hula hoops on the floor. Students must bounce their basketballs into the hoop targets. Builds aiming, power control, and bouncing.
7. Bounce Color Battle: Each group gets a color and must bounce their playground ball continuously while moving around a cone circuit. Combines bouncing, locomotor control, and endurance.
8. Rainbow Basketball Bowling: Set up cones as pins. Students roll or bounce basketballs of their assigned color to knock them down. Teaches aiming and rolling or bouncing precision.
9. Pass-the-Color Challenge: In color-coordinated teams, students must pass their colored ball down a line using various body positions (overhead, underhand, side). Builds team coordination and passing skills.
10. Color Run Countdown: Call out a color and a movement (e.g., “Red! Gallop!”). Students with red balls gallop to a cone and back. Teaches color recognition and locomotor variety.
11. Toss & Talk: Students toss the ball to a partner and answer a question (e.g., favorite food) before catching the return. Encourages social engagement, throwing, and catching.
12. Rainbow Keep-It-Up: Small groups try to keep a volleyball in the air using only one tap per student. Teaches striking control, timing, and team communication.
13. Color Pin Soccer: Set up pins matching each ball color. Students kick their matching soccer ball to knock down the correct pin. Teaches accuracy and targeting.
14. Dribble & Deliver: Students dribble their colored basketball to a hula hoop “goal zone” and must stop the ball inside it. Builds dribbling accuracy and control.
15. Rainbow Court Scramble: Scatter all balls. Students must find their color and complete a movement pattern (e.g., 3 jumps, 2 tosses). Combines exploration with FMS practice.
