A patented connection point allows students to connect their scooters for a variety of activities. This simple tongue-and-groove design is located on the front and back of each scooter, allowing for long runs of scooters which promotes teamwork, communication, and creativity.

Scooter boards are constructed of high-impact molded polypropylene, ensuring they will withstand drops or accidental crashes. A reinforced seating area, plus 4 strips that run from each corner to the middle, enhance the durability and provide a stable ride for older riders. All have 2 handles with a 2" gap that give students better control.

Choose from 2 wheel options:

  • Standard: Nylon wheels for indoor use.
  • Deluxe: Rubber wheels for a smoother ride, both indoors and out.

Available in Sets of 6 or ClassPlus Packs with 24 scooters and a cart made with a tough ABS plastic. Wheels glide across the floor with ease, and two lock for safer loading and unloading. Cart is 27"L x 24"W x 54"H; 23 lb.

These activities utilize the unique feature of the Rainbow Connect-A-Scooters, which allows students to connect multiple scooters together for collaborative movement. Each activity encourages teamwork, coordination, and physical literacy development.

1. Scooter Train Express: Students will connect scooters to form a "train" and take turns being the leader, navigating around cones set up in a track-like formation. The objective is to practice steering and cooperation while moving in a line. This activity enhances running and sliding skills, as students must navigate the track smoothly without breaking the train.

2. Snake Slalom: In this activity, students connect their scooters and maneuver through a slalom course marked by cones. Each student must lean and twist their body to help the group weave through the obstacles. The focus is on twisting, turning, and collaborative movement control, developing their dynamic balance and coordination.

3. Roller Relay Race: Students are divided into teams, each with a set of connected scooters. The goal is to move the entire team from one end of the gym to the other as quickly as possible. This activity promotes teamwork and enhances their kicking and catching skills.

4. Connected Obstacle Challenge: Students connect their scooters and navigate through an obstacle course that requires ducking under hurdles, moving through tight spaces, and weaving around cones. This game enhances agility and dynamic balance, along with core stability and twisting movements.

5. Tug-of-Scooter War: Students connect their scooters and face off in teams, with a rope tied between the two teams. Each team must pull the other across a designated line while sitting on their scooters. This game develops pulling strength and teamwork, and it’s a fun way to practice coordination.

6. Cross-Court Cargo Pull: Students connect their scooters and transport various objects (like cones, balls, or beanbags) from one end of the gym to the other. This activity develops upper body strength, coordination, and pushing/pulling skills.

7. Scooter Synchronized Swim: Students connect scooters and perform a series of synchronized movements in unison, such as spinning, turning, or sliding, as if they were performing a synchronized swim routine. This game promotes teamwork, balance, and creative movement coordination.

8. Scooter Simon Says: The classic "Simon Says" game is played with connected scooters. Students follow commands like "scoot forward," "turn left," or "spin," but only if "Simon says" to do so. This fun activity develops listening skills, coordination, and twisting movements.

9. Pirate Ship Adventure: Connect scooters to create a "ship" and have students work together to navigate the gym "ocean" while avoiding "sharks" (cones or other obstacles). The students must communicate and cooperate to steer the ship, enhancing their problem-solving, agility, and balance.

10. Scooter Soccer Showdown: Connect scooters into teams and play a modified game of soccer where students must stay connected to their team while passing and kicking the ball. This game enhances kicking, teamwork, and coordination skills.

11. Rollerball Runaround: Students sit on connected scooters and use poles to propel themselves forward, working as a team to control movement and direction. This game improves upper body strength, pushing, and hand-eye coordination.

12. Scooter Space Race: Teams connect their scooters and race through a space-themed course, dodging "asteroids" (cones) and "collecting space rocks" (beanbags) while staying connected. This activity develops agility, coordination, and teamwork.

13. The Great Escape: In this game, teams connect scooters and try to escape from a designated area (marked by cones) while one student acts as a "guard" who tries to tag them. The game improves dodging, agility, and teamwork.

14. Chariot Race Challenge: Teams connect scooters, with one student riding while the others pull. The goal is to navigate through an obstacle course, practicing balance, coordination, and teamwork.

15. Scooter Scavenger Hunt: Teams connect their scooters and race around the gym collecting items hidden around the space, with clues provided for each item. The first team to collect all the items wins. This game develops agility, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
