15 Imaginative Activities Using the Gopher Custom Mini Golf Course

The Gopher Custom Mini Golf Course is a portable, customizable set that transforms any space—indoor or outdoor—into a fun and functional mini golf experience. With 9 unique foam obstacles (like tunnels, ramps, and bridges), 9 numbered holes, and putters and balls included, this course encourages creativity and skill-building through striking and aiming challenges. Its soft and safe design makes it perfect for all ages, while its versatility allows teachers to build a wide range of engaging physical education activities that teach fundamental movement skills such as striking, coordination, agility, balance, and more. The following 15 activities turn this exciting course into a movement-rich learning environment!

1. Hole-in-Fun Hop Challenge: Before attempting each hole, students must hop in place 10 times. Focuses on hopping and striking under fatigue.

2. Putter Pose Play: After every putt, students hold a one-foot balance pose for 5 seconds. Builds static balance and body control.

3. Tunnel Twist Tournament: At each obstacle tunnel, students twist their torso side to side 5 times before putting. Emphasizes twisting and strike focus.

4. Leaping Links Adventure: Create jumping markers between holes. Students must leap to each next hole. Focuses on leaping and spatial planning.

5. Dizzy Driver Drill: Spin in place 3 times before putting at each hole. Develops turning control and focus under disorientation.

6. Putt & Plank: After each hole, students hold a 10-second plank. Combines core stability and manipulative sequencing.

7. Color Path Challenge: Match color-coded balls to the color-coded obstacles to guide the correct path. Encourages visual matching and problem-solving.

8. Rainbow Round-the-Rink: Arrange the 9 holes in a giant loop. Students rotate stations in teams. Reinforces striking consistency and coordination.

9. Cup Color Combo: Add Rainbow ClubCup Putting Cups as bonus holes—students must match the color of the hole to their ball color. Builds visual coordination and precision.

10. Freeze Frame Fairway: Students putt while music plays; when the music stops, they must freeze in position. Builds reaction timing and fun focus.

11. Backward Ball Bash: Students must stand backward and attempt to putt using only looking over their shoulder. Encourages spatial awareness and fun balance challenges.

12. Agility Angle Adventure: Create zigzag routes between holes using cones. Students run or hop through before putting. Builds agility and transition focus.

13. Trick Shot Trials: Encourage students to invent and name their own trick shots using obstacles—bank shots, tunnel taps, etc. Enhances creativity and coordination sequences.

14. Partner Putt-Off: In pairs, students take turns trying to sink their putt in fewer strokes. Builds friendly competition and focus under pressure.

15. Putter Path Pacers: Create tape lines or string paths that balls must follow to reach the hole. Teaches controlled striking and fine motor skill.
