EZSet Lightweight Portable Standards

Lighter weight base makes these standards easy to set up, take down, and move!
You must choose an option from above before adding to your cart.

Designed for games that do not require extreme net tension, these portable standards are heavy enough to stay in place during play, yet light enough to easily transport. A non-marring rubber rim on the bottom of the base protects your floors. 50 lb base also has non-marring wheels for easy tip-and-roll transportation.

Easy to Transport

Durable, lightweight standards are just a fraction of the weight of our other portable standards, making them even easier to move from storage to your playing area, indoors or out. Use these standards with lightweight nets, such as badminton nets.

Made to Last

Durable, powder-coated metal standards resist chipping and rusting for years of use. These standards are made better than other lightweight options because they protect your floor. Bolted-on rubber rims will not mark or mar your floor.

Standards are available in 2 weights. The 50 lb base features two 2.5” dia casters for easy tip and roll transportation from storage to the playing area. The 25 lb option is easy to carry to your game spot. We recommend using 70 lb sandbags (sold separately, not pre-filled) to weigh down either option. Keep nets taut with TwistTight Net Attachments (sold separately). Nylon collars use a unique ratchet-style system to increase tension along the net.

Net Games Using EZSet® Lightweight Portable Standards

The EZSet® Lightweight Portable Standards are perfect for creating flexible net games that can be set up anywhere. These portable standards make it easy to adjust the height and position of nets for a wide range of games. Below are unique and creative net-based activities that use this product to teach fundamental movement skills to students in physical education classes. Each activity encourages students to develop their coordination, agility, and teamwork.

1. Volley Frenzy Fun: Split students into small teams and have them play a traditional volleyball game using the EZSet® Portable Net. Focus on developing key volleyball skills like serving, passing, setting, and spiking in a fun, fast-paced environment.

2. Bump to the Beat: Students practice their bumping skills by keeping the ball in the air and passing it over the net without using a set or spike. Each team tries to complete a set number of successful bumps in a row, improving their bumping accuracy and control.

3. Spike It High, Spike It Low: Have students practice spiking the ball with varied power. The EZSet® Portable Net can be adjusted to different heights, allowing students to work on powerful spikes over a lower net or finesse spikes over a higher net.

4. Full-Court Nitroball Frenzy: In this activity, students play a full-court Nitroball game using the EZSet® Portable Net. Divide the class into two teams. Players must work together to pass, bump, or set the ball over the net, ensuring it bounces in between each hit. Teams score points when the ball bounces twice or the other team fails to return it properly. This game focuses on teamwork, agility, and quick decision-making.

5. Volleyball Keep-Up Relay: Teams must keep a rally going by bumping, setting, and spiking the volleyball back and forth over the net. If the ball hits the ground, the team must restart the count, encouraging cooperation and quick reflexes.

6. Serve Zone Showdown: Divide the opposite court into zones using cones or markers. Students serve the volleyball over the net, aiming for specific zones. Points are awarded for accuracy, helping them develop control and strategy in their serving game.

7. Power Spike Challenge: Students line up on one side of the EZSet® Portable Net and take turns spiking a volleyball over the net, aiming to hit a designated spot on the court. This drill improves power and precision in spiking.

8. Volleyball Tag Team Toss: Create small teams that take turns tossing the volleyball over the net using an underhand or overhand throw. This modified game helps students improve their throwing form and control, leading to better serving skills.

9. Balloon Volley Bash: For younger students, play a volleyball-style game using a Beach Ball or a large balloon. The slower-moving ball allows students to practice their volleyball skills in a low-pressure, fun environment.

10. Serve Relay Race: Students compete in teams, with each member taking turns serving the volleyball over the net. After serving, they sprint to the back of the line. The team with the most successful serves wins, improving serving skills and speed.

11. Volleyball Tic-Tac-Toss: Place a grid on the floor on either side of the EZSet® Portable Net. Students toss volleyballs over the net, aiming to land them in specific grid squares in a game of giant tic-tac-toe, refining their aim and coordination.

12. Serve and Save Showdown: Students take turns serving the volleyball over the net, while the opposing team attempts to save the ball before it hits the ground. This encourages quick reflexes and teamwork on both sides of the net.

13. Passing Parade: Divide students into two lines on either side of the EZSet® Portable Net. They must pass the volleyball back and forth over the net without letting it touch the ground. This game helps students practice their passing technique and communication.

14. Badminton Blitz Battle: Use the EZSet® Portable Net for a quick game of badminton. Students practice their rallying and agility while switching up their net game skills with a different sport.

15. Pickleball Power Play: In this activity, students will engage in a classic game of pickleball using the EZSet® Portable Net, which can be easily adjusted to a lower height for pickleball. This game helps students develop hand-eye coordination, agility, and strategic thinking.
