Evolution Medicine Ball Sets
Designed to offer the best grip and long-lasting durability, the 14” dia UltraFit Evolution is one of the most advanced oversized medicine balls on the market. Now you can evolve your weightlifting unit to oversized proportions with complete sets of Evolution medicine balls.
Superior Grip
Constructed with 14 raised panels and made from a special tacky material, the Evolution offers a much better grip than traditional slick, vinyl covers. The cover's seams between panels are grip sites for fingertips, so students of all ages and abilities get a superior hold and have better control, even during the most intense wall ball drills and medicine ball workouts when hands can get sweaty.
Superior Construction
The larger, consistent size is easier to throw, track, and catch and makes the transition to a heavier weight easier. The cover's seams are reinforced for years of reliability. High-quality filling material fills an inner shell for superior shape retention and balanced weight distribution. The dense filling also delivers little to no bounce, adding to the ball's safety.
With these complete sets, students can choose lighter weights for a confidence-inspiring experience or heavier weights for a greater challenge. Plus, find the right ball quickly thanks to color-coded covers and large, printed-on weight identifiers that will not wear off.

15 Versatile PE Activities Using Evolution Medicine Ball Sets
The Evolution Medicine Ball Sets feature a rugged, textured surface for superior grip and durability, making them ideal for high-repetition training in physical education classes. These medicine balls are specifically designed for enhanced grip control, even with sweaty hands, and their balanced internal construction ensures smooth, consistent handling during throws, catches, or slams. Because of their durability and user-friendly surface, they're perfect for students at all levels to develop core strength, coordination, and full-body control. The activities below use Evolution Medicine Balls to teach a wide range of fundamental movement skills in fun and challenging ways.
1. Grip & Rip Relay: Students sprint to a cone while carrying the Evolution Medicine Ball, perform 5 chest passes to a wall, and sprint back. Develops running, pushing, and manipulative strength.
2. Twist Toss Target: Students twist their torso, then toss the ball to hit a wall target (like a taped square). Enhances twisting, throwing, and aim.
3. Catch & Crunch Circuit: In partners, one student tosses the ball while the other catches it and performs a sit-up. Builds core stability and catching coordination.
4. Wall Ball Wipeout: Students throw the ball at a wall, catch it on rebound, squat, then repeat. Combines throwing, catching, bending, and repetition for endurance.
5. Evolution Elevator Pass: In groups, students pass the ball from lowest position (ground) to highest (overhead), simulating an elevator. Focuses on vertical passing and teamwork.
6. Zig-Zag Power Pass: Students pass the ball in zig-zag formation down a line, running to the end each time. Works on agility, passing accuracy, and teamwork.
7. Up-Down Flip Frenzy: Students lie down holding the ball on their chest, stand up, flip it overhead, lie down again. Builds power, coordination, and body awareness.
8. Evolution Agility Exchange: Partners stand across from one another, performing lateral slides between cones while tossing and catching the ball. Combines agility with coordinated catching and throwing.
9. Jump Jack Toss Back: One student performs jumping jacks while the partner tosses the ball back and forth. Enhances aerobic endurance and catching focus under movement.
10. Evolution Roundabout: Students pass the ball around their waist, knees, and head in a continuous loop. Focuses on control, grip strength, and coordination.
11. Squat and Shot Challenge: Students squat with the ball, then launch it chest-pass style at a wall target. Teaches bending and accurate pushing force.
12. Hop Toss Tag Game: One group hops on one foot while holding the ball and tries to tag the running team. Switch roles after 1 minute. Teaches hopping under challenge and manipulation.
13. Core Tap Toss: While lying on their backs, students toss the ball up, tap their knees midair, and catch it. Engages core muscles and timing.
14. Evolution Elevator Slam Circuit: Set up stations at different heights (e.g., overhead, waist, low) where students perform slams from that height. Builds full-body awareness and slam control.
15. Cone Zone Bomb Drop: Students aim to slam the ball into a small cone zone using control rather than force. Focuses on precision, coordination, and object control.
