DuraHoop Hoops

Our standard DuraHoop exceeds others' standard hoops with long-lasting, durable performance!
You must choose an option from above before adding to your cart.

Featuring a 2.3 mm thick wall with fused, staple-free ends, this is a hoop that is safer and more durable than other similar hoops on the market. Its rigid design makes it kink-proof, even when stepped on.

Safe and Long-Lasting Construction

Traditional hoops are usually stapled together that can loosen over time or create sharp points. That’s the not case with DuraHoop hoops. They are fused together, which means no staples are necessary. This greatly reduces the risk of the hoops coming apart and students getting injured while using these.

Thick and Sturdy

Our hoops’ walls are 2.3 mm thick, making them thicker and more durable than competitors. They are kink-proof and able to hold up to long-term institutional play, even if stepped on. That durability also makes these hoops great for activities when they are thrown. Their lighter weight makes them great for younger students to toss.

Several Sizes for Several Purposes

The size hoop you choose depends on the age of your students and the activities you will be using the hoops for. Smaller hoops are especially appropriate for younger students or to make smaller targets or goals, whereas larger hoops are better for older and larger students and for making bigger goals that are easier to hit.

Hoops are available in Rainbow Sets of 12 or in a Rainbow Class Pack of 72 (24 ea 24”, 30”, 36” dia) with a hoop caddy (33”L x 27”W x 48”H).

15 Activities with DuraHoop™ Hoops

These durable, kink-proof DuraHoop™ Hoops are perfect for a wide range of physical education activities. Here are 25 fun and movement-rich activities that make use of the DuraHoop™ Hoops to engage students in new ways.

1. KangarooKross: Create a relay where students must hop from one end of the gym to the other with both feet inside the DuraHoop™ Hoops. Vary the distance between hoops to add a challenge for older students.

2Hoop Cannonball Catch: Have students throw the DuraHoop™ Hoops over long distances on its side to a partner. Partner attempts to catch the hoop after one bounce. The hoops remain perfectly round and stable making them great for catching challenges without fear of bending or kinking.

3. Color Dash Splash: Use the different colors of the DuraHoop™ Hoops as targets for a throwing challenge. Place hoops of different sizes at various distances, and have students toss beanbags or balls into the hoops for points.

4. Hoop-Powered Scooter Pull: Pair students up with one sitting on a scooter while the other holds a DuraHoop™ Hoop. The standing student pulls the scooter-rider by holding onto the hoop and running across the gym.

5. Kink-Proof Balance Beam: Lay several DuraHoop™ Hoops flat on the ground in a row, and challenge students to walk on the edge of the hoops without falling off. The thick, durable construction makes the edges stable and secure, providing a solid "beam" for balance activities.

6. Hoop Scramble: Spread several DuraHoop™ Hoops across the gym floor. On your whistle, students must run to find and stand in a hoop. Remove one hoop after each round to create a musical chairs-style elimination game.

7. Hoop Hut Hustle: Teams of students use multiple DuraHoop™ Hoops to build “huts” by standing the hoops upright and balancing them against each other. The thicker, durable hoops hold their shape better for creative structures!

8. Hoop Hideaway: Scatter DuraHoop™ Hoops across the field or gym. One student (the "tagger") tries to tag others, but students standing inside a hoop are safe for 5 seconds. After 5 seconds, they must move to a different hoop.

9. Hoop Launch: Students take turns "launching" a DuraHoop™ Hoop through the air like a frisbee. The challenge is to see whose hoop travels closest to a predetermined target.

10. River Crossing: Create an imaginary river across the gym. Teams must place the DuraHoop™ Hoops on the floor and use them as “stepping stones” to cross without touching the “water.”

11. Hoop Tunnel Teamwork: Teams work together to pass a ball through a tunnel made from a series of DuraHoop™ Hoops held by their teammates.

12. Target Toss Frenzy: Line up several DuraHoop™ Hoops against a wall and assign different point values to each based on size. Students take turns tossing DuraCoat™ Coated-Foam Balls at the hoops to score points.

13. Quick Switch Circles: Lay the DuraHoop™ Hoops in a circle. Students run around the outside, and on your signal, they must quickly step inside a hoop. As with musical chairs, remove one hoop after each round!

14. Rolling Relay: Teams race to roll a DuraHoop™ Hoop from one end of the gym to the other without letting it fall over. Larger hoops like the 36” size offer more of a challenge!

15. Fishing for Hoops: Students roll DuraHoop™ Hoops to try and capture misc items throughout the gym. The hoop must land on top of the item for a student to capture it and bring it back to their spot.
