25 Activities Using the Basic ClassPlus Before & After School Pack
This collection of activities emphasizes the colorful "Rainbow" equipment from the ClassPlus pack, ensuring that students stay active and engaged with vibrant, fun challenges. These activities are ideal for elementary to junior high students.
1. Ball Relay Race: Divide students into teams. Each player must run while dribbling a Rainbow DuraBall around cones and back. Teams race to complete the relay.
2. Bounce Ball Balance Challenge: Students balance a Rainbow Bounce Ball on their heads and race to the finish line. If the ball drops, they must return to the start.
3. Jump Rope Challenge: Using the Rainbow Polypropylene Jump Ropes, students compete in challenges like "Who can jump the longest?" or "Who can perform the most jumps in 60 seconds?"
4. Basketball Knockout: Play a classic knockout game using the Rainbow Rubber Basketballs. Players shoot in a race to avoid being knocked out by the next shooter.
5. Soccer Shootout: Set up cones as goals and use the Rainbow Rubber Soccer Balls. Each player takes a turn shooting on goal, while others defend.
6. Football Target Toss: Students throw Rainbow Rubber Footballs at various targets, such as cones or bases. Points are awarded for accuracy and distance.
7. Cone Dash: Set up the Rainbow Plastic Cones in a zigzag pattern and have students weave in and out while dribbling a ball or carrying a disc.
8. Disc Golf: Using the Rainbow AirRanger Plastic Discs, set up a makeshift disc golf course with cones as targets. Students aim to land the discs as close to the targets as possible.
9. Horseshoe Toss: Students take turns tossing Soft-Stix Horseshoes around cones, with points awarded for accuracy. Teams compete to see who can score the most points.
10. Foam Disc Catch: Using the Rainbow Koala Foam Discs, students pair up and toss the discs back and forth, increasing the distance with each successful catch.
11. Ball Balancing Relay: Students balance Rainbow ResisDent Balls on their heads while racing to a finish line. If the ball falls, they must start over.
12. Soccer Keep-Away: Using the Rainbow SofTex Soccer Balls, students play a game of keep-away, passing the ball between teammates to avoid being intercepted.
13. Football Relay Toss: Teams toss the Rainbow SoffPlay Footballs to a target, then race to retrieve them. The team with the most accurate throws wins.
14. Dribble Challenge: Using the Rainbow Rubber Basketballs, students dribble around a series of Rainbow Plastic Cones, working on ball control and agility.
15. Frisbee Pass Relay: Teams pass the Rainbow Koala Foam Discs down the line as quickly as possible. The first team to complete the relay wins.
16. Jump Rope Station Circuit: Set up various stations with different jump rope challenges (e.g., speed jumps, crisscross jumps) using the Rainbow Polypropylene Jump Ropes. Rotate students through each station.
17. Disc Distance Throw: Students use the Rainbow AirRanger Plastic Discs to compete in a distance throwing competition. The player who throws the disc the farthest wins.
18. Ball Wall Bounce: Students bounce Rainbow Bounce Balls off a wall and catch them before they hit the ground. Gradually increase the distance to make it more challenging.
19. Basketball Shooting Challenge: Using Rainbow Rubber Basketballs, set up different shooting spots around the court. Students rotate through, with the player making the most successful shots declared the winner.
20. Soccer Bowling: Set up cones like bowling pins and have students use Rainbow Rubber Soccer Balls to knock down as many "pins" as possible with a single kick.
21. Horseshoe Relay: In teams, students race to toss Soft-Stix Horseshoes around cones. The first team to complete all their tosses wins.
22. Speed Dribble Race: Set up a course using Rainbow Plastic Cones, and have students dribble Rainbow DuraBalls through the course. The student with the fastest time wins.
23. Ultimate Soccer Frisbee: Use the Rainbow SofTex Soccer Balls and the Rainbow AirRanger Plastic Discs in a combined game. Players must alternate between kicking the soccer ball and throwing the disc to score in their opponent’s goal.
24. Team Target Challenge: Create a large target zone with the Rainbow Plastic Cones. Students throw the Rainbow ResisDent Balls or kick the Rainbow Rubber Soccer Balls into the zone from increasing distances. Award points for hitting the target.
25. Jump Rope Hoop Jump: Lay the Rainbow Polypropylene Jump Ropes on the ground in the shape of hoops. Students must jump from "hoop"
