ACTION! Team Launch Sid The Spider Parachute Activity Set

Players need to work together to launch and catch a giant inflatable spider named Sid using only their parachutes. Working in teams of 12, players need to send Sid over a net or the center line, trying to avoid the other team’s parachute. If the receiving team catches him, they need to launch him back over to the serving team. A team earns a point if the other team launches Sid out of bounds or doesn’t make it over the net/center line. The first team to earn 5 points, wins the set. The first team to win 3 sets, wins the match! Other games involve having players rotate to a new handle after each successful launch or tossing Sid back and forth while racing toward the finish line.

Sid features a durable nylon cover with a latex balloon bladder that will stay inflated for the entire class day. Nylon legs are sewn onto his body and filled with cotton stuffing to add to the fun as Sid sails through the air. 12’ dia polyester parachutes include 12 handles for improved control, while a mesh center provides a vent for ample airflow. Parachutes meet the ASTM F963 Flammability Standard. Set includes Sid (36” dia), 2 parachutes (12’ dia), and activity instructions.
