EZStand Portable Tetherball Pole

Our sturdiest portable tetherball pole is ready for fast-paced games! Three bolts secure the pole in the 125 lb cast-iron base for maximum stability. Tip-and-roll design allows for easy transportation. A protective rubber gasket lines the bottom of the 24" dia base and is bolted on, not glued like others. QwikClamp and carabiner make it easy to attach the rope and adjust the height.
Sturdy and Ready for Action
While other tetherball standards are secured with only a bolt through the sleeve, this tetherball pole is secured tightly with an upgraded support sleeve and bolted under the base for maximum stability. The 125 lb base increases stability to prevent tipping. The base is constructed of cast iron and will last for years.
This system comes equipped with our exclusive QwikClamp System. Flip the handle to loosen it, adjust the height, and then tighten the clamp again in seconds. Adjusting the height levels the playing field for players of any age or skill level.
Space-Saving Design
The portable design of these tetherball poles are ideal for multiuse spaces. Roll them out when it's game time, then quickly move them back to storage when the game ends. Unique tip-and-roll base with a textured step indicator are safe and easy to handle. The 5"dia non-marring wheels and a rubber gasket around the base protect floors.
Each set includes 1 base, 1 upright (10'H x 1-3/4" dia), 1 QwikClamp collar, and 1 UltraPlay MultiColor Tetherball.
EZStand Portable Tetherball Pole Activity Ideas
The EZStand Portable Tetherball Pole is an incredibly versatile and mobile piece of equipment perfect for various activities. With its heavy-duty, 125 lb base and easy tip-and-roll design, it can be quickly moved and set up in different locations, making it ideal for indoor and outdoor use. These creative activity ideas focus on teaching students fundamental movement skills while utilizing this portable tetherball system.
1. Tetherball Tango: Students pair up and take turns trying to strike the tetherball in opposite directions. This activity focuses on striking skills and teaches coordination and quick reaction times.
2. Targeted Tetherball Toss: Place cones in a circle around the tetherball and lengthen the rope. Students aim to hit the tetherball so it touches specific cones, promoting accuracy and control in striking.
3. Around-the-World Strikes: Students strike the tetherball but must run in a circle around the pole before their next hit. This combines locomotor skills like running with tetherball striking, improving multi-tasking.
4. Backhand Blast: Players can only use their non-dominant hand or strike the tetherball with a backhand motion. This develops coordination and hand strength in both arms. Score by awarding points for successful backhand strikes.
5. Knockout Strikes: Players take turns striking the tetherball. If a player fails to get a solid hit or misses, they are temporarily “knocked out” and must wait for the next round to re-enter. Points are scored based on how many players remain in after each round, testing concentration and precision.
6. Catch and Strike: Players must catch the ball in mid-swing (without wrapping it around the pole) before passing it back to a partner, who strikes it. Award points for successful catches and strikes, improving catching and hand-eye coordination.
7. Pass-the-Tetherball: Form two-player teams. Players must pass the ball back and forth using controlled strikes without letting the ball wrap fully around the pole. Each successful pass earns points, improving teamwork and control.
8. King of the Pole: Players take turns challenging the ""King"" (current winner). If a player beats the King, they become the new King. The losing player rotates to the back of the line, promoting healthy competition and continuous gameplay.
9. Number-Up Rotation: Each student is assigned a number. After each game, the teacher calls a new number to step in, ensuring random and fair rotation.
10. Score Keeper Rotation: Players rotate based on score. After each game, the winner stays for another match, but after reaching a set number of wins (e.g., three), they rotate out, allowing others a chance to play.
11. Musical Tetherball: Music plays while two students play tetherball. When the music stops, both rotate out, and two new players step in. Creates a fast-paced, fun atmosphere for rotation.
12. Quick-Switch Tetherball: After each point, both players rotate out, creating fast-paced rotations and ensuring that games don’t drag on.
13. Knockout Tournament Rotation: Players compete in a knockout-style tournament where losing players rotate out until only one player remains. The winner becomes the new champion, and all others get a chance to restart in new rounds.
