How to Play
Each player begins the game with 12 checkers, placed on alternating squares in the 3 rows closest to him or her. The object of the game is to capture all of your opponent's checkers or position your pieces so that your opponent has no available moves. Capture pieces by jumping your piece over an opponent's to land on a blank square on the opposite side. Basic movement is to move a checker pne space diagonally forward. If a piece reaches the opposite end of the board, it becomes a “king." Kings can move in any direction and can jump pieces in any direction.
Checkers comes with a 15" x 15" game board and 24 checkers. For 2 players, ages 6 and up.
