Scrabble
A great game for building vocabulary and improving spelling!
Scrabble is a game anyone can play, and helps students expand their vocabulary while also practicing spelling. Strategy is also important to make sure your tiles land on double and triple letter scores, instead of letting your opponent take them!
How to Play
The game starts by placing all 100 letter tiles face down. Each player selects 7 tiles. The first person plays a word that crosses the exact center of the board. After calculating the score, the next player places a word that intersects with the existing word. Calculate points for each new word. After his/her turn, a player selects new tiles to replace those played. Achieve more points by placing tiles on double and triple letter spaces, as well as double and triple word boxes. The process continues through each player's turn. The game ends after laying all letters. The player with the highest point total is the winner!
Set includes game board, 100 letter tiles, 4 tile racks, 1 drawstring letter bag, and game guide. For 2-4 players, ages 8 and up.
