Innovative Design
Traditional dot drill agility mats have 5 plain, white dots, but this is not your typical dot drill mat! The FootWorX Agility Mat features colored dots, multi-directional arrows, and numbers to keep students engaged with innovative activities and drills to enhance agility, quickness, speed, and reaction.
Unparalleled Durability
Made of extremely durable polyvinyl, this mat will not wear out—even with intense use. It also offers excellent grip, making it a safe option for agility training. All dots, arrows, and numbers are inlaid for a fade- and peel-resistant appearance that will last for years. The mat is best suited for hard, smooth surfaces, or carpeted floors that are even and free of debris.
Pre-Planned Lessons
Take the guesswork out of planning with included custom-made FootWorX instructions. Twenty ready-made exercises include step-by-step guidance and large diagrams to enhance students’ lateral movement, ability to rapidly change direction, and reaction time. In addition to agility training, cognitive exercises help users practice counting, direction recognition, nutrition, and more!

15 Creative PE Activities Using UltraFit FootWorX Agility Mats
The UltraFit FootWorX Agility Mats are designed to enhance footwork, agility, and coordination through visually guided movement patterns printed directly on durable, non-slip mats. Each mat includes arrows, dots, and movement prompts that direct the user where to place their feet, making them ideal for improving coordination, speed, and spatial awareness. These mats stand out because they offer diverse, printed agility patterns that allow for quick setup and consistent cues, promoting independent or group use for skill development. The following 15 unique activity ideas use these mats as a core teaching tool to reinforce essential fundamental movement skills (FMS) in a fun and structured way for students of all ages and group sizes.
1. Agility Alley Adventure: Lay down a series of FootWorX Mats in a zigzag path. Students follow the pattern, emphasizing quick directional changes. Teaches agility and dynamic balance.
2. Hopscotch Hustle: Use the dots on the mats as hop points. Students hop with one or two feet according to the pattern shown. Focuses on hopping, balance, and spatial awareness.
3. Foot Fire Frenzy: In timed intervals, students move feet rapidly to hit all dots/arrows in the shortest time. Encourages speed, agility, and cardiovascular fitness.
4. Left-Right Lightning: Call out "left" or "right" during movement—students must adjust only the correct foot on the indicated pattern. Builds coordination and cognitive processing.
5. Backstep Boogie: Students travel backward through the foot pattern on the mats. Encourages backward locomotion and spatial orientation.
6. Mirror Mat Mayhem: In pairs, one student leads movements through a mat, the other mirrors. Teaches coordination, imitation, and observation skills.
7. Partner Pattern Patrol: In pairs, students take turns calling out the next footstep in the sequence. Builds teamwork, memory, and communication.
8. Zigzag Zumba Zone: Play upbeat music and choreograph simple routines using the mats as the base. Blends rhythm, locomotor skills, and aerobic fitness.
9. Downhill Dash Detour: Place mats on a small incline (if safe). Students must adapt movements on a slant. Teaches dynamic balance and control.
10. Dodge & Dash Detour: While moving through the mats, students dodge soft tosses. Combines dodging, agility, and footwork.
11. Reverse Route Rodeo: Challenge students to complete a pattern forward, then in reverse. Enhances memory and coordination.
12. Mat to Mat Marathon: Set multiple mats across a gym. Students sprint, then complete the pattern at each one. Builds endurance and speed control.
13. Foot Freeze Fitness: On your signal, students must freeze on a single foot on any point of the mat. Teaches balance and reaction time.
14. Pattern Puzzle Parade: Scramble mats with new sequences and have teams reassemble them to create a flowing agility course. Builds teamwork and cognitive sequencing.
15. Lightning Lanes Relays: Teams line up, and one student at a time completes a pattern on the mat before tagging the next. Focuses on quick transitions, teamwork, and cardiovascular endurance.
