Rainbow TuffSpots Spots
These durable, non-slip rubber floor spots are extremely “tuff”!
Our most affordable rubber floor spots are made of rubber for reliable everyday use! Their rounded edges and tacky surfaces make sure your students stay safe when stepping on them.
Versatile Design
A 1/4" thick rubber design ensures the spots won't rip or crack, even if left outside. A rounded edge along the rim prevents students from tripping, keeping everyone safe and participating.
At 9", these versatile spots are perfect for for bases, “safe zones", relays, circuits, and more! And, designed to fit any budget, these spots give you an outstanding combination of durability and affordability—making them perfect for institutional settings!
Bright Rainbow Colors
Markers come in a Rainbow Set of 6, with one of each color included. These different colors help teachers to easily organize activities, split students up into groups by color, or designated each color a different point value.
25 Creative Uses for Rainbow TuffSpots
Here are 25 engaging and high-energy activities you can implement using Rainbow TuffSpots in your PE class. These activities are designed to promote movement, teamwork, and fun while using the versatile, non-slip spots.
1. Color Relay Races: Divide students into teams, each assigned a color. Place the TuffSpots at the far end of the gym, and have students race to step on their designated color before running back to tag the next person in line.
2. Musical Spots: Like musical chairs, place the TuffSpots randomly around the play area. Play music, and when it stops, students must quickly find a spot to stand on. Remove one spot each round to add challenge.
3. Color Hopscotch: Lay out the TuffSpots in a hopscotch pattern, assigning each spot a number or color sequence. Students hop from spot to spot, following the assigned order.
4. Spot-to-Spot Sprints: Place TuffSpots in random locations around the area. Students must sprint between the spots as directed by the teacher, either by color or a designated path.
5. Group Formation Challenge: Call out a number or color, and students must quickly group themselves on the matching TuffSpots. For example, if you say “three,” three students must share one spot.
6. Safe Zone Tag: Scatter TuffSpots throughout the playing field. When tagged, students can run to any spot and stand on it to be "safe" for 5 seconds before re-entering the game.
7. Rainbow Circuit Training: Set up stations using the TuffSpots as markers for different exercises (e.g., push-ups on red, jumping jacks on blue). Rotate students through the stations for a complete workout.
8. Color Code Fitness: Assign each TuffSpot a color-coded exercise. For example, students must do 10 squats on the red spot, 5 push-ups on the blue spot, etc. Rotate through for a full-body circuit.
9. Spot Basketball Drills: Use the spots as markers for basketball dribbling or shooting drills. Students must dribble to a designated color spot before shooting from that point.
10. Capture the Spots: A twist on Capture the Flag, teams must collect as many TuffSpots as possible from the opposing team’s side and return them to their own base within a time limit.
11. Spot Scramble: Spread out the TuffSpots and have students jog or skip around the gym. When you call out a color, they must scramble to find a spot of that color to stand on.
12. Partner Balance Challenge: In pairs, students must stand on a single TuffSpot and perform balance exercises like standing on one foot or squatting together without falling off.
13. Math Spot Challenge: Place numbers or math problems on each TuffSpot. Students must solve the equation before stepping on the corresponding spot or run to the correct numbered spot after a question is called out.
14. Simon Says Colors: Play a color-based version of Simon Says. For example, “Simon says run to the red spot!” or “Simon says stand on blue!” Add in some tricky commands to keep it fun.
15. Obstacle Course Navigation: Use the TuffSpots as part of an obstacle course. Students must step on certain colored spots as they move through the course, incorporating hopping, skipping, and other movements.
16. Stepping Stone Adventure: Set up the spots like stepping stones across a "river." Students must jump from spot to spot without touching the floor, pretending it's lava or water!
17. Spot Soccer Drills: Use the TuffSpots as targets for soccer drills. Students dribble the ball to a specific color spot before passing or shooting toward a goal.
18. Color Treasure Hunt: Hide small objects around the gym, and assign each TuffSpot a color that corresponds to the hidden objects. Students must gather items and bring them to the correctly colored spot.
19. Jump Spot Challenge: Lay the TuffSpots in a line. Students must perform different types of jumps (e.g., two-foot, one-foot) as they jump from spot to spot across the gym.
20. Spot Twister: Assign each spot a color from the classic Twister game. Call out commands like “Right hand on red!” or “Left foot on yellow!” as students stretch and balance on the spots.
21. Color Zone Invasion Game: Divide the play area into colored zones using the TuffSpots. Students can only throw or dodge the ball when standing in their zone, adding a strategic element to the classic game.
22. Spot Pyramid Relay: Students run to pick up a TuffSpot and stack it at the other end of the gym. The first team to stack all their spots into a pyramid wins!
23. Jump and Reach: Place the TuffSpots at varying distances from a wall. Students must jump from a spot and try to touch the highest point on the wall before returning to the spot.
24. Spot Freeze Dance: While music plays, students dance around the TuffSpots. When the music stops, they must quickly find a spot to freeze on. Anyone without a spot is out for that round.
25. Color Elimination Game: Call out colors, and students standing on the corresponding TuffSpots must run to a new spot. Gradually remove spots to increase the difficulty.
