How to Play

Split up the class into 3 teams, assigning each team a different color. Set up a large playing area based on the available space—an indoor basketball court or an outdoor soccer field works best. The starting team positions itself in the center of the court, while the other two teams form a square around them. The server begins by calling out “OMNIKIN" followed by the color of one of the opposing teams and then serves the ball. The called team must try to catch the ball before it touches the ground. If they succeed, they earn one point; if they miss, the other two teams each receive one point. To keep the game fast-paced, serve the ball again immediately after a catch. Play continues for three 15-minute periods of strategic, high-energy action.
