9 Square in the Air Coated Playground Sets

This fun, strategic game expands 4-Square to a 9-square grid, raises the court above players’ heads, and takes it outdoors! The powder-coated steel frame, in 8 color choices and 2 mounting options, allows it to stay on the playground all year—there’s no need to assemble and take down between uses!

9 Square in the Air starts with a player claiming each square, and the middle player, known as the king, serving the ball through the top to another square. Each player gets one chance to hit it up and out of their square to another player.

Game play stops/a player is out if:

• A player hits the ball more than once in a turn
• The ball hits the ground in a player's square
• A player hits the ball out of bounds

When a player is out, he/she rotates to the end of the line back at square one to start the rotation over, and all other players rotate forward to fill that player's spot. The objective is to serve as the king in the center spot for as long as possible.

The 1.9" dia power-coated steel frame is easy to assemble, no welding required. The coating is available in your choice of 8 colors to match your school or organization! Specify color when ordering. Available in Ocean Blue, Blue, Electric Purple, Green, Orange, Red, Spring Green, and Yellow.
