Magnus KidKart Storage Carts

Children easily maneuver and access equipment on kid-sized PE ABS carts.
You must choose an option from above before adding to your cart.

Measuring 10” lower than other Magnus carts, this cart keeps PE equipment accessible to younger students. From balls to hoops and beyond, all equipment is at eye-level or lower, presenting a non-intimidating way to quickly grab and go. Six Rainbow baskets provide color-coded organization for quick identification while 2 hooks on either side (4 total) easily transport hoops and jump ropes without tangling or bending them.

Extra thick ABS plastic construction is stronger than PVC and won't rust like comparable metal carts and 2 models meet the demands of your environment. Indoor carts feature four 3” dia swivel casters for easy mobility through narrow spaces. Casters lock for safety. All terrain carts have 8" dia front tires and 5" dia rear casters for superior handling over rougher outdoor surfaces.

15 Fundamental Movement Skill Activities Using Magnus KidKart Storage Carts

The Magnus KidKart Storage Carts are specially designed for younger students, featuring a compact, lightweight, and durable frame with mesh sides for visibility and quick access. These carts are easy to maneuver, perfect for organizing a variety of small PE equipment, and scaled for early childhood users. Their standout feature is kid-friendly accessibility—children can safely retrieve and return equipment on their own without reaching or climbing. The following 15 activity ideas use the Magnus KidKart Storage Carts to creatively support fundamental movement skill development in early childhood and elementary physical education classes.

3. Gallop and Grab: Students gallop to the cart, pick up an item, and gallop back. Develops galloping and rhythm.

4. Hop and Drop: Students hop on one foot to the cart, drop in a beanbag, and hop back. Reinforces hopping and balance.

5. Twist and Toss: Students twist their upper body and toss beanbags into the cart from a marked spot. Promotes twisting, throwing, and coordination.

6. KidKart Catch Me: In pairs, one student gently tosses a ball to their partner, who must catch it and place it in the cart. Builds catching and teamwork.

7. Skip & Sort Colors: Students skip to the cart and retrieve an item that matches a designated color. Promotes skipping and color recognition.

8. Balance Ball Transfer: Students carry a ball on a spoon or paddle to the cart and place it inside without dropping it. Focuses on balance and control.

9. Bounce to the Box: Students bounce balls once and try to get them into the cart. Focuses on bouncing and target accuracy.

10. Catch & Run Relay: One student tosses a ball, the other catches it and sprints to place it in the cart. Builds catching and running.

11. Jump & Jam It: Students jump from behind a marker and try to land close enough to place a ball in the cart. Promotes jumping and landing skills.

12. Dribble Drop-Off: Using Gopher Performer Basketballs, students dribble from a start point to the cart and drop the ball inside. Enhances dribbling and control.

13. Turn, Toss, & Tag: Students turn around, toss an item into the cart, then tag the next teammate. Builds turning, throwing, and tag-based relay skills.

14. Popcorn Pickup Parade: Scatter beanbags around the gym. Students collect one at a time and return them to the KidKart. Encourages running and sorting.

15. Freeze Frame Drop: While music plays, students move with a locomotor skill (e.g., hop, skip, gallop). When it stops, they freeze and carefully place a ball into the cart. Reinforces freezing, balance, and transition control.
