About the FITstep Stream

Tracking moderate to vigorous physical activity (MVPA) and activity data for an entire class has never been so easy! Our FITstep Stream step counter uses ANT+ wireless technology for instant and simultaneous data transmission for up to 50 students. You can even track data for an entire class in minutes!

To share data, students simply press the button on the front, and data immediately passes through the HUB and into the FITstep Software for instant collection and analysis. Students can transmit data at any time, as long as they're within 10' of the HUB.

Specifications

The FITstep Stream has all the same great functionalities and features as our FITstep Pro including:

  • Step Count
    • Digitally-precise technology provides an accurate step count even if the device isn't upright. A delayed-counting function better tracks true activity time, and prevents an inflated step total, by only counting consecutive steps taken after activity begins, and not individual steps taken in preparation.
  • Activity Time Tracking
  • MVPA
    • To setup MVPA measurement, users follow the included instructions to calculate their steps-per-minute (SPM) threshold and enter it into the Stream (between 80 and 160 SPM)
    • When the user exceeds that threshold, the pedometer times and records it as MVPA
  • Large, easy-to-read display showing the user's MVPA intensity and duration, making it easy for students and teachers to track progress of 60 minutes of MVPA a day as recommended by the SHAPE America
  • Delayed reset button
  • A longer battery life and low-battery indicator for advanced warning

Protective rubber on the top and edges of the Stream case absorbs impact in the event of accidental drops and protects the pedometer from everyday wear and tear.
