ACTION! ScatterScore Set
Players need to throw accurately to tally up the scattered points on this custom target!
Tossing games for kids are a great way to test accuracy, depth perception, and tossing technique. At the signal, 1 player from each team races to the other end of the play area, picks a ball or beanbag, races to the throw line, and shoots at the target. Holes of various sizes and shapes in the target are labeled with differing point values, providing a fun, strategic challenge. If a shot is missed, the player retrieves the ball/beanbag and throws again until the shot is made—then the next player is up! The team with the most points at the end wins!
A Test of Tossing Skill
Depth perception, accuracy, tossing form, and more are all critical in ensuring beanbags land where a player wants on the target. If the player misses, he/she also gets a quick cardio workout when racing to pick up the beanbag and trying again.
Start by placing the goals on one end of the play area, and have students stand on the other end. The first player races to the opposite end of the playing area to grab a ball or beanbag, then races to the throwing line to throw the ball/beanbag into the goal. If the player misses, he/she picks it up and runs back to the throwing line to try again. This continues until he/she makes it into a goal. Once that player scores, the next player does the same. At the end, tally points designated by the number for each goal. The team with the most points wins.
Other games involve placing the goals in the middle of the playing areas or assigning players to certain zones for a new challenge.
